I did think the author left room for there to be an actual haunting though, but it was very realistic how we hear about ghost stories in real life. I also disliked how heavily the author explained away most of the big paranormal events, felt way too cheap, quick, and lazy for a lot of the stuff given how extreme and unnatural they felt in the moment. The structure of nine chapters and interlocked categories resembles Dante's Divine Comedy and its use of the terza rima. There are 11 categories of cities with five representative descriptions, so Marco Polo describes 55 cities in total. It is divided into nine chapters, the first and last containing descriptions of 10 cities, while the other chapters contain five each. Invisible Cities is a text of patterns and symmetry. ![]() We are thankful for their contributions and encourage you to make your own. The text somehow manages to balance covering basics and foundational concepts even while addressing considerations for the advanced practitioner or researcher. The language is clear and easy to follow, even the coding language for that matter - Keras, the machine learning platform of which the author is the architect, is IMO much better entry point for coders to deep learning than TensorFlow based on complexity of reviewed coding tutorials. Based on the simple metric of frequency / density of highlighted passage, this text is by far the best book have ever read on subject of machine learning (or most subjects for that matter). ![]() ![]() ![]() Written in a punchy, student-friendly style, this timely book engages with a range of topical issues, including cyberspace, terrorism, tourism, surveillance and globalization. Our ideas about society have long affected, and been affected by, our understanding of the universe: large sections of our economy and society are now organized around humanity's use of outer space. Space weaponry, satellite surveillance and communications, and private space travel are all means in which outer space is being humanized: incorporated into society's projects. ![]() |
